    On Monday, August 21st a total eclipse of the sun will be visible in the United States for the first time in almost 40 years! Join the Prescott Valley Public Library and the Prescott Astronomy Club to learn why this happens and safely experience this magical event. Activities for all ages! Free solar eclipse glasses will be given to attendees. Stop by the Prescott Valley Civic Center Amphitheater (7501 E. Beginning July 11th, the Code Club will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 6-7:30pm, as well as on the 2nd and 4th Thursday from 1-2:30pm in the library’s 2nd floor PC lab (7401 E.   4. Beginner Leather Tooling & Carving

    Join instructor Rosie Shores for a fun and informative opportunity to learn how to carve and tool leather! Rosie is a certified Master Leather-crafter, Leathercraft Instructor, and Journeyman Leather-crafter with over 30 years of experience in leathercraft. Throughout the 6 week session of 3 hour classes, students have the opportunity to develop their skills in carving and tooling leather. Please note students are expected to provide their own supplies and tools for this class – a comprehensive list of tools and supplies are provided under each 6 week session. Students will have access to discounted tool kits upon registration for this class. Students must be 10 years of age and older due to the use of sharp tools throughout this workshop. Due to the length of this workshop, students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water or beverage with them.
