What can I do about my neighbor's barking dog?
We always recommend trying to determine where the barking dog location is and attempting to make contact with its owner first. Often, a neighbor-to-neighbor approach is most appropriate and the 1st level towards gaining change. Next, is a phone call to the Police Department. Since it usually is not an emergency, call 928-772-9267, not 911, and ask for Animal Control. An Animal Control Officer will attempt to locate the owner and give them a verbal warning. Repeated calls for service will escalate the process ranging from a Departmental Report to a citation.
